Our GripSport Van Rack, Bolt on Mount & Universal Cross Member (UCM) Bundles are designed for caravans that don’t have a factory cross member for the Bolt on Mount and the UCM is compatible with the drawbar. DIY installation is now possible with a Universal Cross Member. No welding is required, the UCM simply bolts into place. There are 5 different Van Rack installation methods as follows:
- DIY fitting to an existing cross member. More Info

DIY fitting is now possible with Gripsport’s NEW Universal Cross Member (UCM) above, this new product is compatible with all van racks and simply bolts onto your drawbar. If you don’t have a suitable cross member, simply select the correct size before checkout for your drawbar. Check out the Gripsport UCM Fitting Guide for easy installation.

Gripsport’s new release Loading Ramp (above) is included with this bundle, load your bikes onto your GripSport Van Rack or GS Adventure Rack effortlessly. Designed for ALL wheel setups, this telescopic aluminium ramp expands up to 2.1 metres, offering a smooth and secure way to roll your bike into place.
Note: The loading ramp only comes with 2 mounting brackets, ALL wheel setups are available (above). This kit will only cater for 2 bikes to be loaded via the ramp, if you would like to load all bikes via the ramp system, the Gripsport Loading Ramp Expansion Kit (below) is your solution.

new mid-post tilting mechanism
After much research and testing, we have released a new mid-post tilting mechanism, this is a game changer for owners of Expanda type vans, Ezytrail Parkes & Ceduna Models, forward fold campers, vans with short drawbars requiring front window/boot access and vans with large hinged front opening boots. There is no need to remove the rack or bikes in order to extend beds or gain access to storage boots. It can also be used on a standard setup where you simply would like more access. This is compatible with Gripsport’s complete van rack range.
At Bush Chook RV & Leisure we offer a complimentary assembly and fitting service for customers in the Perth Metro area. If you can get your van to us or you live within a 20km radius of our location (we can fit at your van’s location), we offer free assembly and fitting utilising Gripsport’s Universal Cross Member or if your van already has a suitable cross member. If fabrication is required, you will need to take your van to our fabricator who is based in Wangara, the factory is easy to access with a van.
Don’t pay $400-$500 to fit your Gripsport van rack. No other dealer offers assembly and fitting for free. (NOTE: Does not include fabricating cross member or custom mounting).
Fabrication of the cross member is usually around $150, this can be paid directly to the fabricator. We plan the location of the cross member, assist the fabricator with setting up and install the completed member and rack for no charge. Installation usually takes about 1 hour and customers can wait at the factory whilst fitting.
The Gripsport Universal Cross Member (UCM) is an innovative bolt-on solution for mounting a GripSport bike rack or other accessories to your caravan or camper drawbar, without the need for welding. Designed for DIY fitment, the UCM ensures a seamless, low-profile installation while maintaining maximum strength and durability.
Whether you’re adding a bike rack or other essential gear, the Universal Cross Member (UCM) makes mounting simple, safe, and hassle-free.
Please Note: NOTE: UCM measurement is taken from outside to outside of the chassis rails, at the largest point where you want the cross member installed.
