This product is designed for bikes with smaller diameter wheels that are prone to sitting too low in the wheel hoop. A 12" bike requires a pair and a 16" bike will need one wheel hoop reducer. The standard wheel hoop reducers are the same concept as the original, but with a recent facelift and the addition of reusable zip ties, allowing the zip ties to stay with the hoop reducer the whole time meaning it’s always ready to go and with less chance of losing parts. Please note: This product is sold as a pair.
The Fat Tyre Hoop Reducers or ‘Fat Hoop Reducers’ is the same idea and concept as the originals, but is for those Fat Tyre Bikes with smaller diameter wheels that end up sitting too low in the Fat Hoop. The Fat Hoop Reducer. Please note: This product is sold as a pair.
The GripSport Top Tube Adapter allows you to securely fit the Frame Hook and Quick Release Carrier Strap onto any “step-through” bike or any bike with a very low top tube, including some ladies bikes and/or modern e-bikes.
If you purchase an all hoop setup, cinch straps are not included (only supplied with rear taco). Add these to your kit for piece of mind. Extreme, heavy-duty, quick-release (velcro style). Gripsport have just released a NEW Loading Ramp (above), load your bikes onto your GripSport Van Rack or GS Adventure Rack effortlessly with the Bike Rack Loading Ramp. This telescopic aluminium ramp expands up to 2.1 metres, offering a smooth and secure way to roll your bike into place.

VEHICLE RACKS

The “+” on Gripsport’s vehicle range signifies that the carrier is supplied with a rack light and number plate mount.

Each state has their own laws regarding “overhang”. In most Australian states and territories, the rear overhang limit for cars and trucks is generally 60% of the wheelbase or 3.7 metres, whichever is less. Please contact your local road authority for the overhang laws in your particular state.

The GS2 and GS2+ and trike racks can be swapped onto your RV. This will require you purchasing our GS2 Adventure Van Rack Conversion Kit. The rest of the vehicle racks are not compatible. For further information select how to convert GS2 to caravan.

GS2 Conversion

No, GripSport does not include a lock with their racks. We recommend purchasing a strong lock for increased security, there are multiple points around your GripSport bike rack to run a lock through, including the frame of your bike.

All Hitch-mounted GripSport racks can be secured to your car with Gripsport’s Bike Rack Hitch Stabiliser and your own padlock. The stabiliser has a larger hole in the pin to accommodate a padlock.

Gripsport platform vehicle racks can handle bikes up to 30kg each.

Gripsport’s new release  Loading Ramp (above) means you can now load your bikes onto your GripSport Van Rack or GS Adventure Rack effortlessly. Designed for ALL wheel setups, this telescopic aluminium ramp expands up to 2.1 metres, offering a smooth and secure way to roll your bike into place.

   

Note: The loading ramp only comes with 2 mounting brackets, select the suitable wheel setup for your rack (above). This kit will only cater for 2 bikes to be loaded via the ramp, if you would like to load all bikes via the ramp system, the Gripsport Loading Ramp Expansion Kit (below) is your solution.
