The Gripsport DIY 2 Bike Van-Rack kit is for the gun home fabricator who is confident that their cocky shit welds won’t break and intend on building their own mounting post assembly, or van owners looking at mounting the rack on top of items on their drawbar, like toolboxes. This is the same rack assembly as their super popular 2 Bike Van Rack, but without any of the mounting components such as the tilting mechanism and van rack arm. NOTE: Gripsport stipulates that this rack has to be mounted on a 40x40x4mm square hollow section (SHS).

Gripsport bolt on mount

The Gripsport Bolt on Mount is compatible with Van-Rack models for installation on caravan/camper/trailer A frames. the engineered mount consists of the mounting bracket which fixes to a cross member, saddles (if required) to fit the cross member and a mounting post. Posts are available in 3 styles, tall, short and quick release. If you require a Bolt on Mount to fit the rack, select the Gripsport 1 Bike with Bolt on Mount bundle. Our Gripsport Van Rack Bundles offer discounted package prices.

The engineered bolt on mount consists of the mounting bracket which fixes to the draw bar crossmember, saddles to mount the required cross member and the mounting post which is available in three sizes, short, long or quick release.

DIY fitting is now possible with Gripsport’s NEW Universal Cross Member (UCM) above, this new product is compatible with all van racks and simply bolts onto your drawbar. After much research and testing, we have released a new mid-post tilting mechanism, this is a game changer for owners of Expanda type vans, Ezytrail Parkes & Ceduna Models, forward fold campers, vans with short drawbars requiring front window/boot access and vans with large hinged front opening boots. There is no need to remove the rack or bikes in order to extend beds or gain access to storage boots. It can also be used on a standard setup where you simply would like more access. This is compatible with Gripsport’s complete van rack range.
