For Expanda type van owners, our new mid-post tilting mechanism means that bikes and the rack no longer need to be removed in order to extend the front bed.
Our new lower post is made to a height that will clear the underside of the pull out bed (at full length) with the mid-post tilting mechanism installed in the tilted position.
The posts have several holes drilled to adjust the height if required.
As with the standard Gripsport setup with a short quick release post, our recommendation would be to keep your rack as low as possible and cut both the upper and lower posts to suit.

This new setup requires two separate posts, upper and lower. The posts can be made DIY or we can supply you our pre-drilled, ready to install post kits. View Fitting Guide
Our posts are 50x50x4mm Duragal and are cut and drilled specifically to suit the Gripsport bolt on mount and tilt/non-tilt mechanism.
Our posts are also available to purchase singularly. This is handy if you currently have a short post and would like to use it for the bottom section and purchase the top section which is drilled to suit the standard Gripsport rack tilting/non-tilting assembly at 50mm centres. It can be easily trimmed to suit different setups.

To purchase a van rack for Jayco Expanda type models simply select the rack required and choose the quick release mount.
NOTE: – bikes and “top” section of rack must be removed before setting up the Expanda bed. But don’t panic… it’s a simple quick-release system and it literally takes seconds.
The Gripsport Bolt On Mount is compatible with Van-Rack models for installation on caravan/camper/trailer A frames
Each kit includes: 1 x vertical post – 1 x Bolt-On Mount – 2 x Saddles (including bolts)
Quick-Release posts are required for vans and campers with very low pull-out or fold-out beds that setup over the “A” frame (such as Jayco Expanda). For vans like these, both the bikes and rack have to be removed before setting up the bed and these posts have a built-in quick release system allowing bikes and rack to be completely removed (right down to the level of the red arrow) in under 30 seconds. These posts are available in both short and long.
The short quick release post is height adjustable from 269mm to 449mm from the top of the drawbar.
