Many modern vans have a Tri-Fold table, these are a handy space saving item that certainly make your RV’ing lifestyle more comfortable. Unfortunately RV manufacturers don't take into consideration the consequences of what happens to these tables when you go scrub. Most don't have any sort of securing device to stop damage occuring.
If left unsecured Tri-fold tables bounce up and down with every bump you hit and corrugations cause constant jumping and vibration. This will not only eventually leave a permanent mark on the laminate table top, but if not secured adequately the screws anchoring the table will work loose or just tear out (also quite often the screw sizes are inadequate). When travelling this great country even some of our sealed roads leave a lot to be desired and will give your van internals a good battering.
