What is a Doovalacky?
Our drawer Doovalackys can also be custom made to hold indoor hardware in place such as cupboard doors. We also custom make Doovalackys to fit for securing RV appliances such as microwave ovens, fridge doors and ovens.
When you last travelled that corrugated dirt road what carnage did you find when you opened your RV or camper trailer door? Rough dirt roads (and a lot of bitumen roads) will destroy anything that is not secured adequately. DOOVALACKYS will hold this gear in place.
We have tried and tested varieties of fastening methods over our many years of travelling, Drawer Doovalackys have the least noticeable anchor points and they can be simply removed and stored once you’ve parked up.
Tri- fold Table Doovalackys
If left unsecured Tri-fold tables bounce up and down with every bump you hit and corrugations cause constant jumping and vibration. This will not only eventually leave a permanent mark on the laminate table top, but if not secured adequately the screws anchoring the table will work loose or just tear out (also quite often the screw sizes are inadequate). It's then you discover your table lying on the caravan floor once the dust clears!
Table Doovalackys are a simple bungee cord restraint for securing RV Tri-fold tables when in transit. Whether on the blacktop or in the scrub Table Doovalackys will hold your tri-fold tables in place.
Sliding Door Doovalackys
These doors look pretty but are not suited to RV’s, especially off road RV’s. They can weigh up to 15kg with hardware and the constant bouncing and vibration on a corrugated road will soon destroy the rollers or the hardware they are hanging from.
Are the rollers easy to change out? Not a chance! So the best method to avoid this damage happening is to secure your sliding door so it cannot jump around during transit, and our door Doovalackys are the solution.
Maybe we'll see you on the road, we'd love to catch up and we are always open to hearing your feedback on our gear. Plus of course share a cold can of Bush Chook at happy hour!
Cheers & Safe travels
